The 10-year ban placed on Nigeria’s 2008 long jump silver medalist, Blessing Okagbare has been extended to 11 years by the Athletics Integrity Unit. In February 2022, a 10-year-ban was handed down to Okagbare by the body after she was found guilty of doping. In a document released on Monday, June 27, the AIU added one additional year to Okagbare’s ban after she allegedly failed to respond to the charges by the extended deadline -June 21, 2022. According to the document, the 33-year-old athlete is meant to have admitted the anti-doping rule violations (under Rule 2.3 and Rule 2.5 of the World Athletics Anti-Doping Rules) and to have accepted the consequences. The 33-year-old, who is also a sprinter, was expelled from the Tokyo Olympics last year before the women’s 100m semi-finals after testing positive for human growth hormone at an out-of-competition test in Slovakia on July 19. Legendary singer, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2face has lamented about the incessant killing of Nigerians by terrorists. The 46-year-old took to his Instagram story on Monday to lament the worsening insecurity and how nothing is done to the perpetrators. “So sick and tired of these killings without any meaningful action to tame these killers. Emmanuel Umoh, the former Big Brother Naija season 6 housemate, has denied cheating on his estranged lover, Liquorose, during their trip to Dubai. In the reunion show which aired on Friday night, Emmanuel told his own part of the story concerning the mystery lady Liquorose found in his room. Liquorose, in the previous episode, stated that she walked into Emmanuel and another girl in Dubai in the early hours of the morning. She added, “The light was off, the music was playing, the bed was rough, and the girl was sitting at the edge, and she covered her face with a face mask”. Emmanuel, in the latest episode, noted that nothing happened between himself and the girl, whom he revealed was an old friend. The police in Lagos state have arrested a 25-year old man, Adeluola Oladipupo for uploading a lady's unclad photos on social media after sleeping with her in a hotel. According to PM Express, the suspect lured the lady to an undisclosed hotel in Ogba area and engaged her in a s#x romp without her consent and took her unclad pictures before he allowed her to go. Thereafter, he uploaded the unclad pictures on the social media and equally sent the n#de pictures to the lady’s lover, one Moses Alola, on his WhatsApp line demanding N150,000 ransom or he would upload it on the social media. According to Police sources, when he was unable to raise money from the lady’s lover, he reportedly uploaded the pictures on the social media for the public to see.
