Burna Boy who is one of the most celebrated artistes and song writers in Nigeria has opened up on how he wrote 5 songs for Drake in one of his albums. Burna Boy made this revelation during the listening party for his forthcoming album titled “Outside.” which held on Sunday January 21st, 2017 at the We´re´ House in Lagos. Burna Boy spoke on how he met with Drake in London and how their meeting led to them working on the project Drake was working on at the time, which turned out to be an album titled “More Life.” He also added that he worked so hard to enure that he only delivered quality materials for the projects. He said: “I worked on 5 new songs for the project, and submitted them all.” Burna Boy revealed that he got confirmation from Drake and his team that one of the songs he wrote named “More Life” would make it to the project but it came out in a different form on the album and it even went on to be the title of the entire album. According to reports on Pulse NG, producer, Adey has threatened to drag Tinny Entertainment to court over non-payment of royalties for the production of Ycee‘s 2017 hit single, “Juice.“ The producer expressed that he is frustrated to see people confuse Maleek Berry as the producer of the song instead of him. He further said he has not been benefiting financially from the song despite its huge commercial success. When asked whether he had benefited financially from the record, his answer was negative. “No,” he said. “In terms of benefiting from that song, financially, I would say no.” Juice which was among the biggest songs of 2017, was one of the constituent tracks of Ycee’s “The First Wave” EP, released via a partnership between Sony Music and Tinny Entertainment. One of the marriage rites of singer, Omawunmi, to her husband, Tosin Yusuf, took place on January 20th. Omawunmi’s feet were washed as she officially entered her husband’s house. Omawumi’s traditional wedding happened recently three years after she and her Tosin Yusuff had their court wedding in 2015. The pair have been together since then and have two kids already. Mavin singer, Reekado Banks has been dragged to the police station for failing to show up at an event he received 2 million naira for, LIB claims. The report claims the singer collected money (Two Million Naira) to perform at a wedding in Benin City but he failed to show up and this has caused the aggrieved party to drag him to the police station. It is said that the situation is currently happening at the Ogba Police Area Command in Lagos. The report further claims that after the wedding, Uwa Idahosa (an OAP and comedian) who contracted Reekado Banks to perform at the wedding on behalf of the couple demanded a refund but the singer through his manager, Temi said they could only refund 800,000 saying they incurred logistics costs as well. According to the report, Uwa Idahosa, Reekado Banks’ manager (Temi) and relatives of the couple are at the police station to demand a full refund. The case is currently being looked into by the police.

Nigerian singer, Kiss Daniel has come in to explain that his hit song ‘Yeba’ is not promoting sexual assault. Over the weekend, there were reports flying around that the song "Yeba" by Kiss Daniel is a song that supports rape. However, the singer on Saturday via his twitter page said the song contrary to reports advised men to yield to a lady’s refusal of sex rather than force her. According to him, the song teaches young ladies to speak up against unconsented sex.
